About 2 weeks ago, Tuesday was Eyd-e Fetr, a religious holiday (the last day of Ramadan) in Iran and government decided to let Wednesday and Thursday to be holiday. So this four day holidays(with Friday, that is an official holiday in Iran) was an ideal opportunity for me as a trip fan, but I think for my country it was not good and ideal enough.economically
So I decided to go to my grandmother’s villa in the bank of Mazandaran sea. [I am originally from Azerbaijan of Iran]
My grandma’s villa is near the tourism region of Namakabrood, which is a modern village with all facilities like pipe water, electricity, telephone,…, on the north foothills of Elburz Mountains.
I love this village for its rural attractions.
After noticing about this sudden four day holidays, people took a trip all over Iran; and the road to the North of Iran as in summer and spring (for Iranian New Year holidays, Nourooz) were crowded, and as you can see in our photos, there was a chain of cars on the Road.
My friend and I who is a professional photographer (and we continuously and respectively took photos) headed to East of Tehran.
But the common and popular way to North of Iran is Chaloos Road that is a highway about 200km from Tehran. About 30km of the road to Chaloos lies between Tehran and Karaj(the second largest and famous cities in Tehran Province. Recently, a Chinese company started to construct a Freeway from Tehran to North of Iran; they started to construct many tunnels and bridges in this mountainous area.
As we knew that the Road of Tehran-Chaloos is heavy(as I mentioned before), we changed our way to East of Tehran and passed through the summering place of Fasham which is an extrinsic mountainous way and connects us to the midway of Tehran-Chaloos Road.
The way we had chosen was located in an area that for the recent geographical interactions period, the government can hardly make a road there.(as you can see in photos)
On the way, we saw famous International Skiing Rinks such as Shemshak, Dizin, Darband Sar with many modern and luxurious Hotels that the first class people of Tehran and all over Iran have villas there.
Recently, many Arab’s Sheikhs and rich people of Arab countries attract to have villas in this area.
It is important to mention that these rinks are located below latitude of 50 in the Temperate Zone. Therefore, we faced another interesting ecology of Iran in this region.
I believe that I saw one of the most beautiful places of Iran again.
One part of the road was very scary for me. That was above the Dizin Rink to the valley, even the government could not asphalt it.
The rest of the way was perfect. When we reached Chaloos it was foggy, and as you can see in photos again, we had a steady and heavy traffic of the cars chain up to Chaloos.
We reached my grandma’s villa very late that night.
