Khaled Nabi Cemetery - Golestan Province

Khaled-e Nabi’s Cemetery

Khaled-e Nabi’s cemetery is located in Golestan Province, 70 km away from north of Gonbad-e Kavoos on the secondary road at the border of Turkmenistan. The mausoleum is belonging to Khaled-ebn-e sanan, and it is said that he is from Yemen and lived there about 1600 years ago. One of the interesting and amazing culture and custom of this village is about there gravestones; the gravestones of their buried people are identified by the female and male’s genital organs. For the female’s gravestone, they showed ovaries and wombs.
I’ll explain more about the history and cause of it in near future
